The seventh Stanztec trade fair for stamping technology will have to be cancelled this year and will take place again in 2024. The exclusive industry meet for stamping all-rounders and sheet metal specialists was scheduled to take place at the end of June 2022. However, current restrictions make it impossible to hold the event at its traditional venue in the Pforzheim Congress Centre and the exhibitors have spoken out in favour of postponing the trade fair in keeping with its biennial schedule.

Frickenhausen, 11 February 2022 – Traditionally, the entire spectrum of technologies, processes, products, tooling and production equipment is covered by Stanztec’s portfolio, which is widely celebrated as a highly attractive technical event in the stamping technology industry. Small but impressive and with outstanding visitor quality, Stanztec has always been praised in particular for its practical benefits. “Precisely for this reason, we’ve done everything in our power to be able to stage Stanztec 2022,” observes Bettina Schall, managing director of trade fair promoters P.E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG. “Due to the fact that our exhibitors and expert visitors already had to forgo Stanztec in 2020 owing to the pandemic, and because we see ourselves as service providers who act on their behalf, we pulled all the stops in trying to find a solution,” confirms the trade fair organiser. And a solution was within reach: “In terms of both scheduling and organisation, it would have been possible to hold the event at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre from the 28th through the 30th of June, 2022.”

Hall ventilation, booth sizes, spacing requirements, logistics areas, parking facilities and infrastructure – the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre has amply demonstrated its suitability, even under corona restrictions. “The advantages and versatility of the Stuttgart location for Stanztec 2022 under current general conditions were obvious,” points out Andreas Wittur, member of the management team at P.E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG. “Objective considerations spoke in favour of a one-time change of location this year in order to be able to hold the trade fair for stamping technology, but the results of an exhibitor survey were negative.”

The next Stanztec trade fair for stamping technology will thus take place in June 2024. Stamping technology specialists are in great demand as suppliers to challenging industries such as the automotive, medical technology and chemical sectors. The high-end technology which is in focus at the trade fair attracts a discerning, world-class expert audience with an extensive interest in innovation and continuous change. Challenges faced by the industry include the progressive networking of processes, functions integration, automation, increasing product individualisation and smaller lot sizes, as well as the ongoing shortage of qualified personnel.
